1:1 Learning Support Assistant

St Ursula's E-ACT Academy is a Primary Academy on the site of the former St Ursula's private school. We have recently moved into our new building as of November 2016, which is located just behind the old school site and remains on the original school grounds.

The post of experienced 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for Autism provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified 1:1 LSA to work in an innovative setting to support a KS2 child currently in Year 4 on a 1:1 Autism basis, all the while developing an Academy where there is a commitment to ensure an outstanding learning environment. The Academy is part of the E-ACT family of schools.

The working hours will be 8:30-3:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 8:30-4:30 on Thursdays. We are looking for the successful candidate to commence employment as soon as possible.

Full time salary is £17,072 per annum, which equates to a £13,458.21 term time annum salary.


To support a Key Stage 2 child currently in Year 4 on a 1:1 Autism basis in a range of daily learning activities.  To support teachers, parents and other colleagues in creating an environment that enables our pupils to reach their potential. To promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils. To work with the teacher to develop and implement strategies for pupils to reach their learning goals.

We are looking for an exceptional person with determination, focus and a capacity for innovation and transformation necessary to support the creation of a high attaining learning community within our Academy.

Learning Support Assistants will support the Principal and teaching staff to inspire pupils, staff and parents to establish an exceptional learning environment and help transform the lives of the whole community.  

The successful applicant will:

-Be suitably qualified (Level 3 Certificate or equivalent) with 1 year of successful experience.
-Experience with Autism
-Enthusiastic and flexible.  
-Must be committed to working as part of a cohesive, supportive and forward thinking team.
