The Tennis Multi Skills

Years 3,4,5 and 6 went to the Tennis Multi skills Day. When we got to the Nelson Thomlinson Sports Hall, we got a nice welcome from David (our tennis coach). The boys put their lunch boxes and jackets in the boys’ changing rooms and the girls put their lunch boxes and jackets in the girls’ changing rooms. Then Chris told us about the games we would be doing.

Then the boys did the Egg and Spoon race and we had to place a ball on top of our rackets and go as fast as we could and balance the ball and go round the cone. The girls went and altogether we came 2nd for the Eggs and spoon race then we went for a drink. After that we had a talk. Then we did a game and you had to hit a ball with your rackets and hit a container and Sarah who was my partner got one, well done Sarah!

Then we all played a group game and we had Vicky, Mary, Abbie and Sarah. We had to run over the ladder and stop at a cone and hit the ball with our racket into a BIG container and if we didn’t get it in the container we had to pick up the ball and bring it back. We all did it about 3 times each and then we did it again. Then we did a games called Pass the Parcel. What we had to do was hit the ball without dropping it and then keep on passing it around. The girls total score was 34 and the boys total score was 30. Then David did a talk about a match. We had to wait for ages while the other schools played matches. At the end of the day we were given the scores and we came joint second. We got some medals and felt very proud. Then we went back to school.
